review 1: I saw so many lovely reviews for this story that I knew I would enjoy it! It's a very sweet story and just perfect for Christmas!The Secret Santa draw at school, brings Ryan and Jamie together as they share anonymous gifts. The class has been told to make a gift each week for their selected partner. It is wonderful to see Ryan's thoughts about Jamie and how his feelings change as the weeks progress, until finally he has the courage to give the gift that is really from the heart. I also adored Ryan's mum and sister.This is a sure-fire winner for Christmas happiness!
review 2: rating: 4/5Outside it is so hot I'd rather hide inside, where the air conditioner is on, the Christmas lights encircling palm tree barks seem inadequate, our hectic work schedule made up to... moreo lazy for Christmas decorations, and I just can't seem to get myself in a holiday mood. I felt like Scrooge. So I went to seek out a nice, fluffy, holiday m/m romance and found this gem. It is a tale of falling in love during high school, complicated even more by falling in love with another boy. By the end I was left smiling, a little more cheerful and hopeful. This isn't what I usually read, but it was what I needed to read today. less
