review 1: read this on Kindle and as with all Maeve Binchy had to keep reading. It is called a 'Quick read' in any case. Loved it especially as it has relevance to my own situation with 2 out of 4 grown up children back home after university. The dilemmas of family life and changed circumstances are dealt with so well, without having to flesh out the plot or characters as she would in a longer piece of writing.
review 2: Fabulous book about a couple with grown children living at home and not contributing and how the parents contrived to move them out and make them pay their own way and fend for themselves. It makes me even more determined to teach my teenage girls how to look after themselves. As mentioned in the book it's easier to just do everything yourself but that ... moredoesn't help your children to get out into this big bad world of ours. less
