review 1: I loved it!!! I couldn't put this book down and even snuck and read it at work..LOL. Oh man, Greta Olsen and Cora Johnson both are mail order brides but are shocked to find out they are vying for the same man. Little did they know that Zach didn't tell his brother about either of them but instead pretend to be his brother. So they were surprised when he told them what he had done as well as upset about. But neither of them had anywhere to go so they stuck it out and God intervened. LOVED IT!!!
review 2: Twice Promised follows middle sister, Greta Olsen as she leaves her sister's home and becomes a mail-order bride herself. A year after the lost of her boyfriend Bryan Gifford, Greta heads to Colorado to met Jess Gifford, who may or may not be related to Bryan. A... moret the train station waiting for him she meets Cora Johnson who happens to be waiting for the same guy. Younger brother Zach Gifford picks them up and admits that Jess has no clue about them coming. Greta and Cora rely on God to lead them in the right direction. How can Jess chose from two very different girls; outspoken Greta or shy Cora? Greta, Cora, Zach, and Jess have one month to sort this confusion out. They face heartbreaks, trust, romance, bears, old memories, new friendships, and continued faith in God. I strongly recommend to read Deeply Devoted (book 1) first because of the characters mentioned. less
