review 1: Never enough, want moreThis is an awesome series with lots of paranormal types in it. We got some real bad guys trying to recreate the supernatural and make paranormal soldiers. Capturing the real ones and doing all kinds of testing on them as well as normal humans. Killing with no regards to life. Then we have the good guys in the Immortal Ops team that are fighting then bad guys. Most of the team at one time or another have been in those testing labs themselves. And on top of it all we have the love stories in each book. Each book being part of the series is a self-contained story in itself. No cliffhangers. Well written and very enjoyable to read.
review 2: interesting concept to combine special ops with shape shifters, sadly the various character trop... morees get in the way of each other, leading to troops that ought to be court martialed and not mated. There's too little world building to connect the genre clichés into a unique picture. A group of shape shifting hunks in combat boots having steamy sex just doesn't make up for the lack of context for me. Pity. less
