review 1: King of Prey, by Mandy Roth is the first book in her Bird Shifter Novels series. While a paranormal story, it was fun and witty. The relationship that develops between Kabril and Rayna was cute. She is attempting to turn over a new leaf after the death of her grandmother and he is trying to save his people. Reading how he has to learn to be human and how he tried to accomplish that was hilarious. This book is a great set up for other books to come about this ruling family and group of paranormals. It sets up the conflicts between bird clans, as well as gives a glimpse into the personalities of the various brothers.
review 2: I really enjoyed this story. Kabil was such a spoiled king. He was use to getting what he wanted when he wanted. And even though he pu
... moret his people first, he so needed an attitude adjustment. I loved that both Sachin and Rayna. Sachin was able to get away with things only a friend can get away with and Rayna, well Rayna showed Kabil how to be better. I loved that she found humor in Kabil and his somewhat formal way of speaking. I loved that Kabil decided to court her, even if it was under duress. Ms. Roth gave us a well written story with humor and emotion that felt real and appropriate. I am looking forward to reading more in this series. less
