review 1: Le voleur d'ombres/The Shadow Thief is a book like no other.My mom and my sister bought one day, giving it to me as a gift for whatever day. I never heard of Marc Levy before and I was kind of reluctant to start reading it (that's why I started reading it after a month since getting it). Being reluctant about this whole book kept me en guard every single moment........but the thing is that after the first chapter, it took me into the world. I easily connected with the sweet little author from the first part of the book, then I easily connected with the adult narrator, whose story continued just as beautiful as expected. It was a rage, a roar and a hurricane of emotions and laughs and smiles and tears that kept dancing inside my head with every single word read.I must thank... more Marc Levy because it clearly impressed me and it changed my point of view about French authors, about young male narrators, about universe construction, about the connection reader-narrator.Le voleur d'ombres is such a beautiful read that will stand proud in your shelf every single day for the rest of each ones' lives after the read. review 2: Nunca chorei tanto a ler um livro. Há alturas em que precisamos mesmo de ler algo que nos acaricie a alma e nos dê algum alento. Esta história, tão encantadora, tão bonita e tão triste ao mesmo tempo, relembrou-me muitos momentos da minha infância e das saudades tenho da criança que fui. E mais importante, alertou-me para a pessoa que sou hoje e para as pessoas que sempre fizeram parte da minha vida. Este ladrão de sombras é sem dúvida uma personagem maravilhosa, com muito amor dentro de si e cheio de carinho pelos outros. Adorei que ele finalmente tivesse encontrado o que há tanto perdera de vista. De certo que este será mais um dos poucos livros que leio e releio como se fosse a primeira vez.
