review 1: Without Tess is a sad book about a girl named Lizzie who has a older sister named Tess. Tess died when they were young, Lizzie still misses her, But she still hasn't recovered from the loss of her sister. This book is about Lizzie remembering the things the sisters did. She is also in real life at school, other students think she is insane and needs help. So she is given help by doctors, teachers, etc.
review 2: I really liked this book. It is really dark in a lot of ways but I think it is also really comforting and beautiful. It follows Lizzie, Tess's youngest sister through a break through point in her life, but always flashes back to the good times and the bad times before Tess's disease consumed her and she commit suicied. I can't really explain why I enjoy... moreed this book so much, it's not something I normally would read. I just picked it up at the library and said, "Sure, why not?" and I'm really happy I did. I think I will definitely be reading this book again. less
