review 1: I loved that this short story brought spark back into our sweet, Marcia McClure's life. She has written so many fun, carefree stories about love and this was another one that made me smile. Our main characters are good, hard-working people who had yet found the love of their life, but that all changed, very quickly, once they met :)At the end of Marcia's books, she often gives us real snippets as to why a scene was included or the real-life tale behind a scene in her book. They always make me smile and laugh out loud. I probably will always know the definition of an ox vs a cow, mostly because of where it was shared - Sunday school. Why can't my normal life be as exciting as Marcia's. No wonder she can elaborate and create so many funny, romantic stories when she has... more a plethora of her own stories to pick from.Clean read for 16 & up - 2 farm language words, no violence, and a few thoroughly engaging kissing scenes.
review 2: In A Good Lookin' Man Fairlee decides to go stay with her aunt and uncle after quitting her job and breaking up with her boyfriend. On the way there her car breaks down and she meets Lash who gives her a ride the rest of the way. While Fairlee is staying with her aunt and uncle she gets to know Lash and they do a lot of flirting. Fairlee talks to herself often and talks too much all the time. She is funny and cute. It is a sweet story and I totally loved the ending because I love happy endings. This book is pretty short so you can read it in a day. less
