review 2: Can't complain about lack of action! Easy thriller to read. Not a bad way to spend a few hours if you like Dan Brown novels and/or historic mysteries. I'm not a big fan of the 3rd person omniscient "inside the mind of evil" trope, but expected it with a thriller. Think t... morehe novel would have been plenty good with those chapters / sub-chapters excluded, but that's really a question of personal taste. The denouement was a bit drawn out IMO, but most of the book moved at a fast pace & was enjoyable overall. Be warned, this is not for those with a weak stomach. less
