review 1: I enjoyed this second book in this series just as much as the first. Seeing Stephen (sexy redhead) grown and out making a name for himself (in and out of bed!!) was nice. He was a likeable character, no matter how much of rake he was, he was still honorable and seeking what his brother found in Catherine in the first book. I liked Isobel too, even though, at some points the damned woman was working my nerves being too scared and thinking Stephen would hurt her. UGH I get it but still!! But I guess that is why its fiction, its not as fun if there isn't some angst involved. I did have to laugh, there was a part in the book that was such a funny example of how different men and women view things. Stephen was confused why the things he was doing weren't enough in showing Isobe... morel how much he loved her; while Isobel was thinking that he hasn't said the words 'he loves me' so he doesn't really care for me, LOL! I enjoyed all the other outside characters too, Robert, Francois, an almost 16 year old Jaime, and especially Linnet, she was hilarious and a handful!!!! Another book about a strong willed woman finding her match in an honorable man, I suggest this book.
review 2: I have read this book 6 times. It's what happens when you seriously love a story! Not to mention I've hoped each time that Stephen would jump out of the pages and...ahem, "sword fight" with me. No such luck, yet. This whole trilogy is great, especially the fun-filled, egotistical, oh-no-you-di'int banter MM brings in to each one. I find myself giggling a lot at these hot-headed, hot-bodied men! And their women. Of course, though, now that I've spoken and thought about these books...I think I'll pick up Stephen again. Wish me luck on the 7th read!!!! ♥ less
