review 1: I definitely liked Scarlet better than Cinder! I was leaning towards a full 5 star rating, but I have a gut-feeling that Cress will be even better, so, I settled on a 4.5 rating! This book was most definitely jet-packed with action, from both Cinder and Scarlet. I love the new characters! Specially Thorne, he gave the book its humor, that's for sure! What I loved about this sequel is that the story really unfolded well, it wasn't as messy as when I read Cinder. In Cinder I felt EVERYTHING was all over the place, but with Scarlet the story became more interesting. I think just the thought and the idea of mixing in new characters from different fairy tales really does spruce everything up. I am very excited to see who will join Cinder and Scarlet in Cr... moreess!
review 2: Although the plot wasn't quite a deep as it was in Cinder, and was more based on the romance between wolf and scarlet I still really enjoyed this book. Scarlets passion and assertive personality really drove the story, and made for some great conflict. I love reading about characters who say what everyone else is thinking but is too scared to, and I really loved her kickarse attitude.The book felt like it was building unceremoniously to something awesome, and it didn't disappoint. less
