review 1: YES YES YES MELISSA MEYER. YES. This lady is a effing genius. The way she twists the fairytales into her books is beyond me. I loved this. This was almost as good as Cinder. Cress is so damn adorable!!!!! I could not believe how likable she was. And Captain! Come on Captain get your love life straight! The end was my favorite. FINALLY Kai and Cinder. My heart exploded. I literally could not read it. I was freak in out too much. This series is one of my favorites and I can't wait for WINTER!!!!!!
review 2: Everybody who enjoys fantasy and classic fairy tales needs to read this series! I absolutely love this world! It draws you in as you try to figure out the parallels of each character to the fairy tale they're associated with, and she so ingeniously intertwines... more them all together in an intriguing setting. Cress is a bit more dependent on "her man" than the other characters, but I still like how the author gives her a self awareness of it when she continually compares her fantasy to her reality. Brilliant! less
