review 1: Although a little too short (my own opinion), this short story is a very good introduction to the personality of the young twelve year old Carswell Thorne. The story looks into the early development of Carswell's charm and wit in middle school while hinting at his dreams of being a future Captain on Rampion Spacecraft. A look at the development of Carswell's defience of the rules and his gambling techniques.As usual the author puts you right in the story making it hard to put down. An excellent treat while waiting for the next adventure in the Lunar Chroniles Series.

... moreme the-devil-may care favorite characters, those oranges, acne cream, homework, card games, portscreen, smart mouth, and those situations he gets himself into, once again you got me Captain. I also love the little insight of his background and his determination to complete his goals. less
