review 1: Many of the most important things in life take a lifetime to master, and many of those take only a moment to explain. Even relatively unimportant things, like golf, fall into that category. (Yeah, I know a lot of you may disagree on the importance of golf).Prayer is definitely one of those things. Mark does a great job here of giving practical ideas of how to pray for our kids--our own biological children, and the children of the community around us. If you're interested in becoming better at interceding for your children, consistently and effectively, then I highly recommend this book. It's a book written from Protestant perspective, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my fellow Catholics. Prayer is one area where we can agree! I really liked his idea of prayi... moreng the entire Bible on behalf of your kids, any my next pass through will be done exactly that way.
review 2: This covers most of the same territory as the original book, The Circle Maker, but with a focus on praying for your children. It doesn't go into as much detail, but rather provides some helpful tips. Prayer isn't a magical formula that gets God to do what we want, but rather prayer is aligning our wants with God's. This book was a good reminder of that and a very encouraging & challenging read for me as a father. Praying for my kids, and teaching them to pray, may very well be the most important thing I ever do. less

loved this book, read it in just one setting albeit it's a small book and only 100 pages!

The only helpful admonition of this book is that it prods us to pray persistently.
