review 1: I would have liked a few more examples that didn't involve real estate but even so they were good examples. We live in a material world and praying for material things for holy purposes, in my opinion, doesn't make us materialistic. I don't think you can help but pray "better" (ie: more genuinely, specifically, intentionally, faithfully) after reading this book, whether you loved the book or not. It gave me lots to think about.
review 2: The Circle Maker is a must-read for anyone looking to revitalize their prayer life. I found it to be well written, relatable, and easy to read. I think it's sad some get caught up in criticizing some of Batterson's examples of miracles I'm his life, as well as the use of the sage Honi. They are missing the point. I found this b... moreook to be very convicting in my life. It inspired me to pray harder, longer, and with intensity. I love the idea of drawing figurative prayer circles around our kids and loved ones, and appreciated the reminder to pray through tough situations. The chapter on life goals was so inspiring, I was excited to start my own list! One of my favorite quotes from the book, "you're always only one prayer away from a miracle." less
