Tugawe Cove Cafe in Naga City

Camarines Sur is blessed with turquoise waters and white sand beaches. A visit to Tugawe Cove is a must if you wish to experience beach bumming to the fullest.

For those who have not yet been to the resort, the owners opened a cafe in Naga City in order to have a glimpse of what is in store for guests while in the island — gastronomically speaking, that is. We were invited one afternoon to sample its pasta and drink offerings. So, off I went with Nick Astig and The Indy Miss to Tugawe Cove Cafe.

Place

If you’re driving from the Almeda Highway, you will notice the glass windows on your left leading to Robinsons Place Naga’s entrance.

Upon reaching the stairs leading to the al fresco are, you will be greeted by Tugawe Cove Cafe on your left.

Once I enetered the cafe’s glass doors, I was treated to a vision of summer I always long for. I love how these coloful couches and wooden chairs and tables give off beachy vibe against the painted wall.

In keeping with the Tugave Cove aesthetics, the cafe is designed to be similar to the resort. Look at these native  lanterns hanging overhead.

Food and Drinks

Being the red pasta and choklit foodie that I am, this is what I had:

You know how much I loooove red pasta. The plateful of Braised Beef Mac was perfect for my tastebuds. It was served hot with a generous amount of sauce, beef cubes, and cheese. I was actually surprised at how soft and chewy the beef cubes were. The serving size was just right as well. It was not bitin at all. It made me full but not engorged. The bread fully complemented the pasta.

Other items on their menu include sandwiches, other pasta options, rice plates, waffles, pastries and desserts. I will try them next time. *wink*

Since I cannot let a sip of chocolate pass, I ordered a glassful of the Black Forest coffee blend. Mind you, it tastes like blended Black Forest cake. There’s no trace of coffee in the taste which is personally great for me. It’s actually a melt in your mouth kinda thing. I liked it!

Other beverage options are hot or iced coffee and tea choices, cofee blended and non-coffee blended drinks, and a variety of juices. Let’s drink to that on my next visit, shall we?

Prices

Poring through the menu, I noticed that the prices are relatively similar to prices in other cafes and coffee shops I have been to. The Tugawe Cove brand is truly high end and quality is never compromised. I say that their cafe’s pricing is a plus point because it makes Tugawe Cove within reach.

So, if you wish to have a gastronomic taste of  Tugawe Cove (minus the white sand beach) right within the City, do visit Tugawe Cove Cafe at the Ground Floor of the al fresco area, Robinsons Place, Naga City. For updates, like and follow thier Facebook page.
