review 1: I base my rating on the story, how the story moves me and how the story keeps me interested. What an idea using Minecraft to set this adventure. Yes, error here and there, violence but this is based on a game and I don't let the error bother me unless the error distort the story so much that I lose interest. Gameknight 999, his father's invention teleports him into the game. His adventure takes him in the digital world of Minecraft. To survive Minecraft he must play the game. Creepers, Spiders, Zombie, Skeletons, did it have wolves? Hmmm..... Now these rotting decaying monsters are not the block kind but blood thirsty sharp clawed monsters. He soon learns it's scarier in the game than outside of it. Violence galore but it's a game. He battles through challenges on... moree after another. Villagers, hunters, archers, dark red enderman, so much going on but easy to follow. Erebus the king of the Endermen, can Gameknight999 stand up to this terrifying King? You can feel Gameknight999 fear of this monster of a king. He battles to save his life and to keep the monsters from entering the physical world. I continued to read with anticipation no sooner I reached the end.":( If you enjoy the game or just want to read a brilliant fun game book this is it. Amazing how the author managed to create a story out of a game like Minecraft, well done and quite an imagination. Won this on Goodreads, First Read Giveaway. Thank you, Darlene Cruz
review 2: Since maybe 35% of my life is Minecraft, I read this book! I was browsing amazon when I came across a book called invasion of the over world by Mark Cheverton. I had never heard of this book or author so I decided to give it a try. and it was worth it! in this novel it is about a player named Gameknight999 who likes to play Minecraft, especially griefing other things people have made in the game. But one day his fathers creation sends him into the game itself, he was actually in Minecraft! Now he was suddenly put into a journey to save Minecraft with his friends Crafter and Shawny, and all the villagers in the game! I loved this book and I will maybe read more books by this author, and if Mark is reading this, GOOD JOB MARK!!! :D less
