review 1: Purchased this because I watch and have learned some from Mark Crilley's YouTube Learn to Draw videos and he always plugs his books at the end of his videos. The story jumps about a bit, and I read the book entirely in one 45 minute session. I'm on the fence. I can't decide if I like the story's potential enough to get the rest or not. I'm ambivalent.I will say it wasn't awful and it was fascinating to see what Mr. Crilley demonstrates in the practical final result, as opposed to the drawings done on YT. If you haven't seen his videos, they're worth checking out. You'll pick up tips and ideas even if an experienced artist.

... moreim as odd until he meets Talia. This is a pretty big feat in and of itself since she is a ghost! Talia informs Brody she has been looking for a ghostseer like him since she died five years ago. She needs a human to help her complete a super super good deed on earth in order to be let into heaven. Understandably, Brody is more than a little skeptical of her claims and must be first convinced he is not insane before he can begin training. This is a cute little story. I wish it wasn't broken down into such small sections though (series of six). It feels like the story was just starting to develop when the first book completed. less

Was hoping to get more into the meat of the story, but now I'll have to go pick up Book 2.
