Megan tells peter that she knew all about the special pumpkin he was taking care of. Peter decides to give the pumpkin to Megan b... moreecause he knew she would take good care of it. Bloom's Higher Level ActivityHave the class divide up into small groups and create a map of a pumpkin farm. Make sure they include different types and sizes of pumpkins as well as different activities their patrons can do.
review 2: My almost-five-year-old son picked this book out from the library last week. I was a little concerned when I saw that the boy who lived on the pumpkin farm was named "Peter". As a nursery rhyme connoisseur, I knew that could go very wrong. Fortunately, this book did not go in THAT direction. This was a very sweet, if a bit unsubstantial, tale. The artwork, however, is delightful and a bit retro (as in 1970s retro), and helps propel this story along nicely. less
