review 1: I have difficulty with graphic novels that aren't depicted in a very organized manner. The illustrations are well-done and vivid, but the frames mix together; they aren't defined and clearly sequenced. That's my weakness, not the book's, but if it's your weakness too, then this will be a difficult book to jump right into. Beyond the presentation, it's a good story that is certainly worth sharing. The underlying themes are important and could lead to some wonderful conversations in classrooms, Texas or elsewhere.
