review 1: There were things I really appreciated about this one-- the way it dealt with 14-year-old Georgia's confusion about sexuality, control, power, and men was pretty intense and interesting. I found her motivations really unclear and confusing, but maybe that was part of the point. I also wished that there would have been even a small hint about Georgia's own desires. She seemed to not have any sexuality of her own, even though her actions become more and more sexualized. Again, maybe that was part of the point? IDK. At any rate, anyone picking this up based on the cover who wants the usual teen ballerina story-- not so much.

... moretructor, convinces herself that he is interested in her, and then plants nude photos of herself wrapped up in her thong in his desk. And the eating disorder or Chantal was, in my opinion, under and inappropriately developed. (She's fat. She's thin. she's in the hospital. She's out and auditioning...). Couple this with the movie Black Swan, and no one will ever want anything to do with anyone involved with ballet... ever. On the positive side, it was intriguing (albeit horrifying), and it made me think. less
