review 1: This review, copied from Paperback Swap, sums up my thoughts perfectly. Well stated! I want my 2 hours back!The dust jacket promises a "tell-all" and an "inside look at one of today's most sensational breakups" but the book delivers virtually nothing on the subject. Written in a bitterly-laughing-through-my-pain style that quickly becomes annoying, progresses to irritating, and finally is ultimately just boringly repetitive, the entire book masquerades as a how-to on getting through the emotional turmoil of divorce by a woman so self-pitying and immature that the book is pathetic and meaningless.
review 2: I am the anti self-help book kind of gal. I usually find them pretentious and I abhor talk of emmpowerment and self-actualization, but I like this. I'm fin... moreding it incredibly helpful and incredibly relatable in spite of my own situation being quite different, but her outlook is positive and optimistic and pragmatic. She definitely understands the devastation of divorce and challenges women to learn to take care of themselves and to learn to see the end of a previous life as a welcoming chance to make a choice for yourself for something good to come around again. I would highly recommend this to any woman going through any stage of divorce. less
