review 1: Naruto vol. 51 Summary: Naruto is a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He's got a wild sense of humor, but Naruto is completely serious about his mission to be the world's greatest ninja!SASUKE VS. DANZOSasuke finally takes on Danzo, the leader of Konoha, determined to interrogate him about the Uchiha clan and what really happened between the political factions of Konoha and his brother, Itachi.MY OPINIONAs Sasuke squares off against Danzo in battle, Naruto deal with the aftermath or learning that his fellow classmates have planned to go off and kill Sasuke themselves. Sai also expresses his concern that he believe Sakura may break off from the others and try to kill Sasuke herself. With Kakashi acting as Hokage due to the choice of the other Kages at t... morehe Summit, he sets off with Sai to stop Sakura. Naruto has a panic attack from all the stress and passes out. When he awakens, he learns that Kakashi has gone after Sakura, and plans to follow, but is stopped by Yamato. Claiming that he wants to rest more, Naruto fools Yamato and escapes by creating a hole in the floor under his bag. As the battle between Sasuke and Danzo comes to a close, Madara takes Danzo's body so he may recover the stolen eye of Shisui. Karin, one of Sasuke's teammates is dying, attacked by Sasuke himself when she was being held hostage by Danzo. Sasuke's attack went through her and into Danzo, hitting vital points on both. Sakura comes face to face with Sasuke at last and using the guise of wanting to join him to get close enough to kill him. But Sasuke is no fool, and when he learns Sakura's plan, he strikes out with the full intent to kill her only to be stopped at the last second by Kakashi.Quote: "Sai... I'm only going to say this once... move aside."
review 2: Kishimoto has done with NARUTO what Dave Sim said he was going to do with CEREBUS--given us the epic birth, life, and development of a character. While CEREBUS failed largely because the story was filled with tangents that were neither that interesting nor very relevant to the main character, this series succeeds because it weaves its various intriguing and apparently tangential side-stories into a whole that makes sense (eventually) and serve to develop a full-blown mythological Japan in addition to its engaging main character. less
