review 1: This book is a stunning, new viewpoint of young women learning who they truly are. Set in Sweden, the culture permeates the story and all of these little details are exquisitely handled in the translation. Yes, this a book where new, young witches are out to save the world. Yet this book is much more than the genre suggests. It is gritty, real and unabashedly taking stock of many important issues. From abandonment, depression, and the adage that money does not buy love or happiness, all of these subjects are handled with a magical delicacy that ensures a wonderful read.Last we left the Chosen Ones, they had put off the apocalypse from the hands of demons. Now there is a corrupt magical law system, known as The Council, who try to preserve the laws while they amass power. A... morenother apocalypse seems inevitable and the leader of these attacks is well hidden. review 2: Tűz? Na, hát tűz, azaz spiritusz nem volt ebben a könyvben szerintem... Meglepődtem, hogy tetszett ennek a sorozatnak az első része, ezért vágtam bele a másodikba. De sajnos ez olyan tipikus nyögvenyelős, izzadságszagú második rész volt. Nem volt benne már számomra nyomott hangulatú svédes depi és sötétség, nem volt jó dramaturgiája, mint az első kötetnek (szó szerint a 60%-ánál kezdett el történni bármi is) és igen szegényes volt benne már a mágia is, a sztoriról már nem is beszélve...A jelen idő és tőmondatok sem változtak, bár ezeket azért elnéztem volna, ha a többi nem hibádzik. Nem értem mi történt Strandbergékkel, de ezek után nem érdekel a harmadik rész :( less
