review 1: Terrible. Was not even worth the discounted price of $2.99 I paid for the e-version. The 75 questions/answers were 1-3 page poorly written essays which answered very little and the accompanying artwork was awful. It's like the intellectuals who wrote the essays and the artists who created the illustrations simply didn't give a sh__ about this project and thus did it grudgingly, like homework they were being forced to do or something. The crayon art hanging on your frig is likely more imaginative then the works in this book.
review 2: Open the book at any point: the left-hand page is a brief description of something sciencey, and the right-hand side is an illustration of the science. I read the first half looking at the description first, and the second half l
... moreooking at the illustration first - and tried to figure out what the text would be about. It was fun to read both ways. The main thing I got out of this is that it's very difficult to create an illustration that is useful. less

Wonderful! Science and art collide to make a book in which understanding shines through awe.

Disjointed and pithy. Maybe I expected too much from it, but I felt a little let down.
