review 1: Let me tell you, I picked up this book without even having read its first two prequels, but with the clear recap I instantly entered the story, and what a story it was! First of all I the maps and all illustrations have been very helpful in following the story and they having been fun to analyse, making it easier for me to be a part of Jack's crew and participate in the mission to save the world. Also the reading has been very fluid and I kept going from chapter to chapter without knowing how to stop. The rich context and the mixture of historical figures delighted me since I've always been fascinated by them. In all, it was an interesting and entertaining book!
review 2: Terzo e ultimo libro della trilogia.Ancora una volta, Reilly ci porta in giro per il mondo... more conosciuto, facendoci affrontare pericoli, tradimenti e un sacco di trappole, facendoci sudare le vittorie e gli abbracci, costringendoci a leggere ad un ritmo sostenuto per cercare di rimanere al passo con i nostri beniamini.Man mano che la data fatidica si avvicina, le difficoltà aumentano, come aumenta anche la tensione e la bravura di Reilly nel farcela percepire tutta, in ogni singola parola che ha messo su carta.Come sempre, le descrizioni sono favolose e aiutano tantissimo ad immedesimarsi nei vari personaggi, facendoceli amare ancora di più (ebbene sì, Jack West Jr. mi piace ancora di più di prima! Come anche la piccola Lily e il dolce Alby!).Questa volta ha superato se stesso e, secondo il mio modesto parere è uno dei libri più belli che abbia mai letto nell'ultimo periodo, almeno di questo genere.Mi piacerebbe moltissimo raccontarvi un piccolo pezzettino di libro, ma sarebbe spoiler e proprio non mi va di farvi sapere in anticipo il punto più bello in assoluto, sempre secondo me, del libro. Posso dirvi che mi sono emozionata tantissimo e soprattutto ho riletto quei pochi passaggi almeno due volte per carpirne ogni singola sfumatura, per catturare l'immagine perfetta che Reilly voleva descrivere.Ancora una volta lo consiglio a chi ha voglia di rimanere sul filo del rasoio fino alle ultime pagine e a chi ha amato in precedenza Jack West Jr. less
