review 1: Polarity is an odd duck, about an odd duck. Tim is bipolar, but specially bipolar, giving him special abilities when he's off his meds. Led by his questionably helpful psychiatrist, the hipster slacker tries to balance mental health with a worthwhile life, playing with his art, considering super heroism, and trying dating. Needless to say, the humor is biting and sarcastic, and the story is just this side of completely insane. Artwork isn't anything memorable, but it does service the story well.
review 2: Since I listen to Say Anything, I am biased to love this. Themes that have pervaded In Defense of the Genre and ...Is A Real Boy (especially the anger and then absolution sung with so much fire in Admit It!)are brought up again. But if the writing of Max Bemis
... more brought me to read Polarity, the art of Jorge Coelho and Felipe Sobreiro made me stay (and there's even art from Sherri Dupree Bemis in the back). less

Didn't grab me. The Brooklyn hipster setting got obnoxious fast (which was partly the intention).
