Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls
review 1: This was an interesting book. I didn't read the other two books, but there was nothing I didn't understand. I liked all of the characters, except for Cheyenne. She was really annoying! Cheyenne was kind of a hypocrite telling some people (like Allie and her friends) that they were immature when she was the one being immature. But that made Cheyenne a good antagonist, I guess. This book is probably better for younger kids (like ages 9-11), because I was 10 when I first read this and now I recently re-read it and its too easy for me now. I guess older kids might enjoy this book, but I'm recommending it for younger kids because the writing might be too easy for kids my age and older (13 years and older). I enjoyed it, but it wasn't like one of my favorites or anything. Three ... morestars.
review 2: Jessica Mitchell, 10Review for Best Friends and Drama QueensMeg Cabot This wasn't my favorite book in the world. I felt like the relationship between Sophie, Caroline, Allie, Rosemary, and Erica was EXTREMELY unrealistic. I mean, I know perfect friends are nice in books, but in real life, theres only about a 10% chance that friends will be like that. Also, in most schools nowadays, bullies like Cheyenne whang people emotionally. Like, they have no reason to live, or something. NOT about what kind of boots or what kind of games someone plays at recess. I gave this book 3 stars because I only started getting interested when i was on the last...lets see...ten pages. And those pages were good. Worth 3 stars. The rest? Eh. I'd like something more realistic. less
