review 1: it's not that it wasn't good. i liked a lot the story of cass being able to interact with ghosts and her struggles to help tim and herself, it's the fact that the book ending doesn't solve some parts of the plot what annoys me... or perhaps there were no parts of the plot but i thought they were and felt a bit disappointed when they were left unexplained. nevertheless it's a quick and easy read without love story... such a rarity :)
review 2: give up the ghost by megan crewe is short and leaves you with so many questions after you finish reading it. it never tells you why tims' mom had left him and also it never tells you why cass’ sister, paige, has remained after her death or why she was the first spirit cass could see and talk to. theres so many parts that
... more leave you hanging, its really irritating and frustrating. it is a very simple story that deals with some hard and serious topics. like death, grief, bullying, and thoughts, and even attempted suicide. cass’ abilities to see and speak with ghosts offers her one last chance to connect with another alive and breathing person that is hurting just as much as she is. give up the ghost feels unfinished. we're only presented with the limited info cass has and that leaves several things untold. i liked it a lot but i feel like It could've been more complete. i give it 4 stars because it was really good it just could've been a little better, if there wasnt so many mysteries; and you knew the whole background and all the little details. i would recommend this book to people who like mysteries and ghost stories because theres a lot of mysteries in this book and also she (cass) can talk to ghosts and its really good, like the whole plot and theme. its kind of sad though. it makes you want to keep reading and find out more. less
