review 1: The following is the review for books 1-3 in the Filthy Series. All I will add is each book gets better. Just when you think things can't get anymore screwed up, they can and do.I never write reviews! Never.... but I absolutely could not pass on reviewing this book. I don't want to tell to much, but I want to tell you enough to get my point across. I admit I was a little reluctant after seeing the cover and title. I figured it was just another erotic book without much story to it. (not that I have a problem with that, but I have a ton on my kindle TBR) After reading some other reviews I decided to give it a try.I read it in one sitting. From the first page it pulled me in and just wouldn't let go. Faye is such a complex character. Before I began the story I was unsure how ... moreI could relate to a character like her, prostitute... cocaine addict.... you get the picture. But Megan Martin did an outstanding job of getting me into, not only Faye's head, but her heart. You can see everything that she does comes from a place of unspeakable pain. Ms Martin is a word artist! I felt like I was beside Faye seeing and feeling what she experienced. Now for Rhett... at times I wanted to hate him for his treatment of Faye, but you realize that he only knows a very small part of her story. He doesn't know the things that have pushed her to make the choices that she has made. I loved Rhett. He is so torn between loving and wanting Faye but knowing he shouldn't.I don't want to give away to much about the story. And I know other reviewers have done a great job of describing it. I just want to say Do NOT pass this book up! It is real, gritty, sad, touching, sexy, intense, heartbreaking.... I could go on and on. I have read all the books in this series so far and I am counting the days until the next one.*This is a dark intense book. It covers many topics including drug abuse and molestation. If these things bother you then this may not be the book for you.*I would/am recommending this series to all my friends. Please give it a try, you will be so glad you did.Comment Comment | Permalink
review 2: Oh, I don't like Faye's step dad Taylor. Not at all. He is such a horrible man! Rhett needs to open his eyes to what's going on and figure out what went on in the past. How could he have missed that? Poor Faye. She's been through so very much. And I have a feeling we don't know half of it yet. How could her mother have looked away? This is a page turner that keeps you on edge wanting to know what happens next. less
