review 2: I have only reviewed 5 books ever and 3 of those were 1-3 in this series. That should tell you how much I love this series. I absolutely could not pass on reviewing this book.I got this book around 1am. I should have known better than even opening it that late. Just like the previous 3 books I read it in one
... moresitting. Once you start it is impossible to put down until the last page is finished. This is one of those rare books that even though you are finished reading it you find yourself thinking about it the next day and the day after that.I'm sure by now you know about the story-line. Other reviewers have done a great job so I won't waste your time repeating the same things. In this book we get to see a glimpse of Faye with some hope. She is such a complex fascinating character. For the first time since she has been nine years old she sees that there are people who want to help her without hurting her. We see a new side to her without the drugs. I will say it was hell to see and feel her pain when she was in the hospital. I found my self wiping tears and holding my breath until she was ok. I was so glad that Rhett knows about Taylor abusing her. And it was done in such a way that there is no way Taylor can talk his way out of it this time.Speaking of Taylor, the stepfather from hell, I just wanted to inflict some sort of torture and pain on him! Ms Martin has created one of the most evil, twisted, insane, arrogant villains I have ever read. I don't have the vocabulary to put into words how bad he is. He is consumed and obsessed with Faye until it finally spills over and he can't hide it anymore. I don't know what the future holds for him but I hope Karma comes a calling. If he gets even a percentage of what is owed to him I can't wait to read all about it.We get to see more of the Rhett that Faye fell in love with in this installment. Rhett is so tortured by what his head and society thinks he should feel and do with his life while his heart and soul are screaming for Faye. My heart broke for him at the end of this one when he had to come face to face with the monster he realizes his father is. He is eaten up with guilt for not putting all the pieces together sooner.I swear this series has me addicted. Megan Martin is on my auto buy list for life. This series is so so much more than I ever expected. I can't wait for the next installment to see what is going to happen between Faye and Rhett now. We all know that it is going to be a hard journey to recover what has been stolen away, but I hope they can start healing and learn how to love each other unconditionally. And of course I want to see Taylor get his balls cut off! LOLDo yourself a favor and read this series! It is so worth it. Thank you again Ms. Martin for a wonderful ride and I can't wait for the next.*This is a dark intense book. It covers many topics including drug abuse and molestation. If these things bother you then this may not be the book for you.*I would/am recommending this series to all my friends. Please give it a try, you will be so glad you did. less

so sad. Painful and heart wrenching to read about faye's pain and how she copes with it. So sad.
