review 1: A lovely short story perfect as an "in-betweener" for those large novels you are getting ready to tackle. The High King's Golden Tongue starts off with Allen being humiliatingly rejected as consort by the High King Sarrica. With no direction to take, Allen is given an opportunity allowing him to use his talent for multiple languages, and to prove his worth to Sarrica. The story has the predictability and ambiance of a fairytale - a quick and simple read to relieve that fantasy itch we may have from time to time.
review 2: This is a pretty good short story. If you are looking for something to pass some time, this is a good to pick up. It is about a man called Allen and his worth.Allen is a prince who isn't a fighter, literally. It isn't his thing. Languages an

He has always been good at learning languages and hopes his abilities will be desirable to his new 'husband'.But when he arrives to the King's court, he is laughed out. He isn't even given a time demonstrate or even to speak. He is embarrassed and shunned. He tries his best to stay to himself. Allen is to humiliated to go back to his home and doesn't feel like he fits in his new place. Well he is out in the market one day he comes across a mercenary who really appreciates his skills. A thoroughly lovely short story that really aches to be made into a full length novel!

Boring first half and forced, unconvincing romance.
