review 1: This book was that middle book that you have to read but it isn't anyone's favorite. Instead of the usual "each person has a different chapter", this book was divided into 4 parts. Schuyler-part1, Mimi-part2, Deming-part3 and part 4 was a mix. I was disappointed with part 1 all together.Part 2 was a completely new side to Mimi where we see her transform away from the snobby girl from book 1. She's grown a lot and we see her realizing what's important. I was skeptical about Part 3 of the book introducing a new character and giving them a 1/4 of the book but it was an interesting twist. I enjoyed the ending the most but I am overjoyed to be done with this book and eagerly am moving onto "Lost in Time".
review 2: I don't think that I like the format for "Misguided
... more Angel".Cruz broke it up into 3 different parts; one for each perspective. I liked it better when it was broken up between chapter. That way when the cliff hanger for one chapter ended, you had to read the chapters before you get back to that perspective. There is a little more emotion (excitement, anger, etc) to reading the books. I feel like you get a little bit more invested because you just have to know what happens. Also, if you are kind of bored of a storyline, you get a little break from it.I feel like Schuyler and Jack's adventure in the book was a little bit of a waste of time. They were more lovely-dovey but I wished they had done more. Mimi and the new character, Deming, were pretty good. It was interesting to see that the red bloods become a little bit more involved into the book. Mimi also goes through tons of changes because of being Regent. She also sees some pretty horrible things. I feel like Mimi is like the Grinch in this case. Her heart was 3 sizes to small and then it grew! Deming was another kick-butt character and it was interesting to see the way that she viewed the New York coven as an outsider.I liked the fact that all the parts were linked together by what they found. Not as good as "The Van Alen Legacy" but not bad. My only request with "Lost in Time" is that Schuyler and Jack play a more useful role. less
