review 1: It was riveting, I was immersed in the story right away.It does get confusing sometimes, but the confusion is only on minor details. For example when they are explaining a minor character, you get a little confused about how that character got to be so famous...I still don't know if I want to continue to read the rest of the series, because this ending was pretty good with a cliffhanger ending.Anyway since I really like the style of writing that this author has, I think I would be interested in one of her new-ish books that has something to do with witches.
review 2: The thing that kept throwing me out of the story in this one was Schuyler's age. I'm pretty sure she started the series as 15, and between books 1 and 3 several months have elapsed--I would say almo
... morest a year. Meaning by the end if book 3 she'd be much nearer 16 than 15, if not already 16. Then a year passes between the end of book 3 and the beginning of this one, meaning she should be pretty close to 17, yet the narrator says she's barely 16. I kept getting hung up over that, even though I tried ignoring it. Anyway, I liked this one better, mostly because you got to see how well Oliver and Schuyler work together. The tension was good, especially for the first half. And the end just proves what a stud Oliver is. less
