review 1: Another rip-roaring steampunk pulp adventure! Zenobia, writer of the Archimedes Fox adventures, and sister to the man himself, is our star. Though she herself is not the primary mover of the story she is the focus upon which much of the story rests. Ariq, the Kraken King, is a super-man among nanite-modified men, and occasionally is a little too perfect for my tastes but the story is tight and the world continues to delight. More Iron Seas please!
review 2: While the story started off a little slow, Brooks didn't disappoint as far as the story goes. I'm so glad that it's Archimides sister (Zenobia's) turn at love and its already looking to be very interesting. Ariq is the definite strong, aggressive, hot and sexy male that will go great with Zenobia's person
... moreality. While she has never married, she's independent and has a very sharp mind that not all men can handle. I know they will butt heads a lot but their love and respect for each other will flourish nonetheless between them. less

This was a fun easy read with great characters. I look forward to Part II!

The serial format kills this for me. Otherwise enjoyable.
