review 1: This is a book about different babies, all born in different places around the world. All of the babies have one similarity though; they all have ten little fingers and ten little toes. No matter what skin color, what culture, what gender, and so on, all babies have one common trait, they have the same number of fingers and toes. An activity that students can do in classrooms could be to think about other things that people have in common, and find two different cultures and compare and contrast them in a short essay.Genre: CulturalFormat: Picture BookReading Level: MediumTheme/Topic: Culture, SimilaritiesGender: AllRace: AllSocioeconomic Status: AllFox, M., & Oxenbury, H. review 2: This is
... morean adorable rhyming book for Toddlers to learn about rhyming and using your fingers and toes. The rhyming throughout the book allows for an easy read book for young children. Although this book is mostly for toddlers, it could also be used in a Prekindergarten or Kindergarten classroom to teach rhyming. This book also helps teach students to count to ten which could be used in the classroom. The book goes along with a song so I could also display the song on the board for a brain break and have the students sing and dance along to the words. The illustrations are very kid friendly and age appropriate so the students will be able to easily read and relate to what is going on in the book. less
