Valdemar: The Herald Spy
review 1: This is an interesting twist on the Romeo and Juliet story. At one point, I almost put the book down because I was so anxious that there was no way the story could end well. I am a longtime Mercedes Lackey fan, so I pushed through trusting that she could and would "fix" everything. I was pleased with the ending. It ties up all the loose ends in a satisfying way without being depressingly realistic or impossibly romantic.
review 2: A one day read should be enough of a review! After a great start with the first three Collegium books, the crashing mess of the fourth, and the bare drag-back of the fifth, this new Mags book has redeemed Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series. I won't date myself by saying how long I've been reading these books, but I am thrilled that
... more I can continue to be entertained.I guess every author has an "off" book. less

Enjoyable twist on Romeo and Juliet. Tasty Valdemar escape for a cold winter's day.
