review 1: The summary caught my attention - it sounded like a fun light read to try out my new ereader. This was available through the library, so I thought I would give it a try. I didn't really like the beginning - I think the idea of physically attacking and pulling hair out just wasn't working for me, but I stuck with it. It got much better and I was rooting for Mira to get on with her life, make a life for her and her daughter, and forget about Jake. The food descriptions added to it's enjoyment. I really got hooked into wanting to see how it turned out once she bought the apartment. Just when it looked like she was getting on with her life, Jake had to go and show up again. In the end, I'm glad I finished it and would be interested in reading more from this au... morethor.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book despite the fact that I hate cooking! The heroine is a person I would like to be friends with, she is real and has real emotions. She finds her husband with another woman and proceeds to pull the hair right out of this woman's head! I would think that any woman who found herself in this situation would love to do the same. Of course, her actions are not without consequences... The characters in this book are loveable and not so loveable at the same time, like real people. The whole cooking aspect adds another layer to an already good read. Not your usual chick lit romance, had some substance. less

A nice and light food novel. Nothing amazing, but entertaining and fun!

Loved the first half, then it just got mediocre. Still a good read.
