Star Trek: Typhon Pact
review 1: A good addition to the Typhon Pact series, which gives us some fun insights into some of the lesser powers in the ST universe. This one features an extended face-off with the Gorn, and we get to find out about their non-warrior castes. Not quite as interesting or revelatory as the explanation of the Breen we got in book 1 (Zero Sum Game), but still good fun. This one also features a giant, sentient, Genesis-device-like artifact. Guess what Tuvok does. Go on, just guess!
review 2: I've finally made it to the last of the four "Star Trek Typhon Pact" novels (yes, I read them out of order -- sue me)...and it's easily on par with the previous three entries. It offers a look at Gorn civilization with the same eye for detail that was applied to the Breen in "Zero Su
... morem Game"...although I found some of the SSS-ing lizard dialogue a bit heavy going at times. The conclusion is by far the most deliciously ominous and apocalyptic out of all four novels. less

Not sure how it sits into the Typhon pact series (yet) and it was a bit tedious
