review 1: Betty wants to be a success at soccer, but does not know how. I found the book a little bit preachy, but enjoyed its emphasis on practicing in order to achieve success. it's also not an easy read, but the illustrations are helpful. also, i liked how the family worked together (the older brother helping Betty learn the game, and practice) to help Betty get better at the game. the book would be instructive for any young child struggling with learning a skill.
review 2: I love Betty Bunny's spunk as well as her older siblings. All children can relate to Betty's woes because they are just like their own. Betty is not good at soccer and wants to quit. The older siblings need to convince her to keep trying or Henry can't play his video games. After a few m... moreore poor performances, Betty's older brother tells her maybe she's just not that good! So, he has to help her practice! The characterizations are spot on! less
