review 1: AMAZING!! I just loved it. I thought this series would be continuous, with each book beginning right where the last one finished. However, it turns out it spans over the years. Again, the plot, characters & adventure were amazing. Hints were given about the heir of Novron & his bodyguard which I liked. I suapect Hadrian is a descendant of the teshlor knight protecting the heir. All will be known in the next book which I'm planning to read immediately, as in after I finish writing this review. The only thing I didn't like in this book was Fannen's death. I got really attached to all the Pickerings so I was really sad when it happened. Gowever, I really really recommend this book to anyone who's into fantasy.
review 2: “Will nodded toward Hadrian. “Look at t
... morehe swords he’s carrying. A man wearing one—maybe he knows how to use it, maybe not. A man carries two—he probably don’t know nothing about swords, but he wants you to think he does. But a man carrying three swords—that’s a lot of weight. No one’s gonna haul that much steel around unless he makes a living using them.”― Theft of Swords Michael J. Sullivan less
