review 1: A nice,quick read. Hadrian and Royce make a nice pair. I liked Royce better,like Ron in Harry Potter but grown up. Like the previous short story,this one also doesn't require a prior knowledge of Ryiria chronicles. But it would have helped in understanding the jester's past. What I didn't like about the story was the 'poem' inside the box. It's not a primary school student who is writing it. It could've been made a bit puzzle-like,with some rhyme. After all,it's fantasy.. If not for puzzle and some rhymes,where is the fun.?!
review 2: Two thieves, a lady, and a pig farmer are trapped in a dungeon said to hold a great treasure. Not only must they find the treasure, but also make it out of the diabolical dungeon alive.This was a free short story on Audible.com. I... more have not read any of the other books, and was not familiar with the characters, but in just 100 pages (around 30 min recording) I became enamored with these characters. I absolutely want to read these books now! This short story was more about the characters and their faults than the dangers of the dungeon they are in. A great short story that has hooked me into reading more of the series. Well done!! less
