review 1: I wasn't sure about this read for about the first fifty pages or so. I felt like everyone was out to for Teeny. No one trusted her or believed her and I felt like there were secret plots between other characters that weren't being told. I have it three stars because I did end up liking the twists and mystery of the story. I also like the spunk if Teeny. I don't know...maybe 2.5? Also, the editing is terrible. How is it I find these mistakes in casual reading and the professionals don't catch them? That was a little frustrating.
review 2: I have liked some of the author's other books, but this was not her best effort. Another reviewer noted some editorial errors and I noticed them as well, and was bothered by them. (The last name of Kendall McCormack was written
... more as McCormack, and then on the facing page it was spelled McCormick. Red's truck is described a being red, then yellow.) The story was okay, but I felt underwhelmed at the end. Had this been my first MIchael Lee West book, it would have been my last. less

An ok read. Seemed kind of rushed in some areas and plot was definitely not something I expected.

I cannot remember when I've read a book that was such a hot mess. I had to skim most of it.

Cute murder mystery that takes place in the south. Easy reading on a snowy/lazy day
