review 1: I had really high hopes for this book - set in Charleston, quirky southern characters, romance, murder, FOOD. But it fell short. I hated the main characters, Teeny and Coop. Teeny was wimpy and whiny and Coop was just blah. There was nothing swoon-worthy about him and I can't understand how so many women loved him! The secondary characters were much more interesting: Ava, Red and even Miss Dora. I'm upset that it ended on a cliffhanger because I kind of want to know what happens next but then I don't think I could make it through another 300 pages of Teeny and Coop. This won't be a series I continue.
review 2: Gone With a Handsomer Man is a book I picked up at Big Lots for $2. It was well worth the money and then some. I felt that the storyline was solid
... more and the characters were believable and likable. There wasn't too much fluff or sap (I hate that) and I really enjoyed the main character, Teeny. She was a bit naive at times, but I found her plight very believable. I like to take a break from time to time and read something light, fun and mysterious. This book delivers. less

it's an unexceptionable story..i admire how love and murder can be mixed so purely...
