review 1: When Red Ted gets left on a train, Crocodile (another lost toy) is helpful but pessimistic about whether Red Ted can get home. This does not dissuade our hero from trying, however.A beautiful marriage of words and pictures, a satisfying story about finding your way home, and a magical reminder that bravery inspires more bravery. Thank you to Kitri for a couple great picture book recommendations this past week!
review 2: Feels almost like cheating since this was a gift to my 3 year old, but since it qualifies as a graphic novel I'm including it here. For those who love graphics and want to introduce them to young kids, this is a great intro. Red Ted is a teddy bear lost on a train and placed in the station's lost and found (a cavern with floor to cathedral ceili... morengs filled with shelves, all full). He meets Crocodile and the 2 of them set off to find a way back to Stevie's house. Along the way the meet Cat who helps them on their journey. Red Ted shows that he has brains as well as cuteness and figures out ways to keep them all safe and dry. Very cute. Thank you Karen. less
