review 1: Some parts moved a little slow, but some parts were totally fascinating. I underlined quite a bit of this book, stuff that I know I will want to go back and look at again later. It gave me a lot to think about. The 4 stars I just gave it... Did I instinctively give it 4 stars and rationalize it after my brain had already made the decision? Was it determined? Was it an emergent property of my interactions with other minds? Even after reading the book I'm not exactly sure.

... moreuments would have neither swayed nor helped formulate an opinion.This book was just a mish- mash of neat studies done on human behavior without a cohesive thread to hold it together.I recommend you start with the Blakaslee's, A Body With A Mind of It's Own, or Norman Doidge's book, The Brain That Changes Itself for a more cohesive viewpoint. For a great book about free will check out On the Origin of Tepees by Jonnie Hughes. less
