review 1: I only read certain chapters but I liked the way he wrote them. He writes like he is talking to you from across the table. His research is convincing. His confidence is sure almost to the point of arrogance. Must be exhausting trying to convince people you know about the future. My favorite quote from the book is something like: In their death, libraries have achieved their greatest success. My response: As long as people need information, libraries will share it willingly for free.

As a book lover, I am sad about but basically agree with his publishing insights, although I don't think books will become dinosaurs/collectors' items as rapidly as he seems to think they will. less
