review 1: Just signed in to Goodreads as a result of reading this comprehensive book on why I should be on Goodreads and how to get on and be active. I especially liked the description of how to behave on Goodreads. How could I not have known about Goodreads? I have over 300 books and read constantly. This book opened my eyes to a wonderful world.The author Michelle Campbell-Scott not only introduces you to what Goodreads is all about, but shows you step by step how to sign up and navigate. And there is so much advice for authors given along the way with such solid reasoning that you find yourself nodding your head. So here I am - right now - rating her book as the first book that showed up in the sign-up process in Goodreads. I am even creating a shelf for it - for authors - althou... moregh I have a feeling I will be using much of what I read because I am as much if not more a reader, as I will potentially be an author. I hope to have my first book written in a few months. But I will always be more a reader than an author.
review 2: I am taking this book of my 'currently reading' shelf and placing it back on the 'to read' shelf. Judging from what I have already read it offers very little but hype.I am saddened that I paid full price for this one. Hopefully others will find a way to sample it before they purchase.Of course there is a very length introduction at the beginning which will likely gobble up the sample.Yet it too is reflective of what is inside.Buyers be forewarned. less
