review 1: The book picks up right where book one, Claimed by the Highland Warrior left off and that is a great thing that Michelle Willingham can do for a series (for me at least). There is always the question about what happened next with the people and this book has everything. The clan was attached by the English and saved at the last moment by Marguerite's father. The clan's keep and most of their homes were burned to the ground. Now, the clan must rebuild their home and lives and stand unites. But this is the last thing that some of them want.Alex MacKinloch is the chief of the clan since everybody though his brother Bram was dead. he has the hard task to keep the clan united, safe and rebuild a stronger keep and walls for his people. In the midst of everything when his wife's l... moreife was threatened he realizes that there is a void between him and his wife that needs to be filled.Lauren, is portrayed as a shy woman loving mother. After the death of her son she took refuge in glass making. She yearns for her husband's attention and touch but she lost her way of interacting with him.The book is a is a touching, heartwarming story about two people who faced a lot of challenges and realized that if they want their marriage to survive, they will have to fight for it. The fight they will.I loved the way the story of the couple had flashbacks from the past and the fact that rebuilding their life together as a couple was intertwined with the clan's life and struggles.Another great read and beautiful story. I am looking forward to more of the MacKinloch man stories.
A historia é ótima! E a autora ainda deixou gancho pra historia do 3º irmão. less
