review 1: When you find something, anything, by Mike on a shelf unexpectedly several things happen in the span of a few seconds --Did I make the sound of a dying whale playing the tuba?Yep, it's the national anthem of my people. Did I scare anyone next to me?I pretty much frightened the entire B&N store. Did I nearly kill myself trying to remove it from the cramped shelf?Broken nail and paper sliced fingers here. Did I actually read it?Affirmative, but not after creepily staring at it for awhile. . .Did I understand anything that was going on in the tome?Slightly- I'm still transfixed with the artwork- but that can be remedied with research and more reading. Did I enjoy this book?Yes, but it was too short for me.I never really knew/thought he went back and did adolescent HB. I'm qui... morete thrilled at having found this tucked between the DC and Marvel shelves. I did notice that his artwork has 'matured' fractionally. By that I mean, it's nothing like when he first started, but there is still that air of improved skills all artists acquire after years of working. I'm a bit mad that this was the only Hellboy in the entire store. Get on the ball bookstores!
